Privacy Policy
Current version: April 1, 2026 (2026-04-01)
This policy describes how DeafAI, Inc. handles personal information and submitted ASL recordings in the adult-only web app experience.
The DeafAI web app is available only to adults who are 18 or older. If you are under 18, you may not create an account, upload recordings, or use the service.
This Privacy Policy explains how DeafAI, Inc. collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you access the app or submit ASL recordings.
We collect account details such as your full name, email address, password hash, and date of birth.
When you use recording features, we collect submitted video, audio, transcripts, calibration samples, device metadata, and related session activity needed to operate and improve the product.
We use submitted recordings and related metadata to provide ASL interpretation, support personalization, evaluate model quality, and improve our machine learning systems.
We also use account and session data to secure the service, troubleshoot issues, enforce platform rules, and communicate important product or legal updates.
Submitted recordings may be retained as part of our machine learning and product-development datasets. Depending on how data has already been incorporated into model training, deletion of specific submitted content may not be possible.
We retain account and operational records for as long as needed to run the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and protect the platform.
We may share information with infrastructure, storage, analytics, and security providers that support operation of the app, subject to contractual controls.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
If we materially update this Privacy Policy, we may require you to review and accept the latest version before submitting more content.
Questions about this policy or privacy practices should be directed to DeafAI support.
